Dr. Zunaid Kazi is a technologist, researcher, and AI strategist with over 30 years of experience in foundational artificial intelligence disciplines, with deep specialization in Natural Language Processing and intelligent data systems.

He is the Founder and CEO of Knowtomation, an AI advisory and consulting practice that helps organizations cut through the hype and adopt practical, trustworthy AI. His work spans strategy, capability building, generative AI integration, and hands-on prototyping for enterprises in healthcare, high-tech, and emerging markets. Knowtomation focuses on unlocking the full value of organizational data through modern AI architectures, human-centered workflows, and measurable outcomes.

Alongside his advisory work, Dr. Kazi is also building a next-generation AI platform in enterprise data intelligence, currently in stealth mode. This effort brings together decades of experience in NLP, rule-based systems, and conceptual AI design to create intelligent data infrastructure for domains where accuracy and explainability are non-negotiable.

Previously, Dr. Kazi co-founded Infolytx, where he served as CTO and helped grow the company into a respected AI and data-science solutions provider spanning machine learning, NLP, and machine vision. He shaped the company’s technical vision, led product architecture, and guided the development of solutions that automated manual processes, elevated data quality, and improved decision-making for global clients.

Before founding Infolytx, Dr. Kazi served as Vice President of Research & Development at Parity Computing, an AI company addressing large-scale analytics challenges in science, technology, and medicine. There, he developed patented technologies in cross-document entity resolution, large-scale author disambiguation, and knowledge inference, powering systems behind the ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, and Elsevier’s Scopus.

He also served as Director of Technology Strategy and Product Management at Liaison Technologies, leading product direction, platform modernization, and advanced NLP-driven enhancements for enterprise content integration systems.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Kazi was a Research Staff Member at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, contributing to early enterprise-scale text-analytic frameworks and applications that laid foundations for modern information extraction and text-processing systems.

Dr. Kazi has also spent time in academia, teaching Computer Science at the University of Delaware, Villanova University, and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where he taught and mentored students in algorithms, programming, and intelligent systems.

He holds an MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, and a BS in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from BUET. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed publications, patents, and essays on AI, leadership, and the future of work, published in outlets including the Dhaka Tribune and Medium.

Today, in addition to his industry work, Dr. Kazi is actively involved in shaping the future of AI in Bangladesh — from ecosystem building and national readiness to cultivating the next generation of AI talent and leadership.
