Zunaid is Founder Principal at Knowtomation. Knowtomation provides technology diagnosis, assessment and design as well as software and services for solutions that leverage text-analytics and -mining for decision making from unstructured data. Zunaid is also CTO at GenWeb2, a business consulting and IT services company, where he is provides technical leadership particularly in product development and analytics. Earlier, Zunaid was VP, Research and Development at Parity Computing. Parity's text and unstructured data analytics and knowledge discovery solutions extract meaning and relationships from unstructured data to support informed decision making. In addition to leading R&D efforts, Zunaid's role included defining technology strategy and developing technology innovations. He pioneered the patented technology for automatically creating profiles of people and organizations derived from knowledge extracted from large text corpora as seen in the ACM Digitial Library, IEEE XPlore and Reed-Elsevier's SciVerse SCOPUS. Previously, he was Director of Technology Strategy and Product Management at Liaison Technology. Liaison provided content integration solutions for creating and managing commerce-ready catalogs. At Liaison, Zunaid was responsible for directing product management for the entire Liaison product suite. He also innovated and implemented several major product enhancements using advanced NLP and IR techniques. Earlier, Zunaid was with IBM Research where he was a Research Staff Member at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center. While at IBM, Zunaid played a major role in the development of IBM's text-analytic frameworks and applications. Zunaid also spent some time in academia and teaching Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology for a couple of years. Zunaid received an MS and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware and a BS in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has authored a number of technical publications and patents. |
