Zunaid Kazi, PhD

Dr. Zunaid Kazi is a technologist with over 30 years of experience in foundational AI fields, with deep specialization in NLP. As the CEO and Founder of Knowtomation, he drives strategic transformation for healthcare and high-tech enterprises, leveraging cutting-edge areas like Generative AI to provide data-driven consulting, analysis, and implementation that unlock the power of data. Additionally, as the Co-Founder and CTO of Infolytx, Dr. Kazi built a world-class AI solutions company, specializing in Machine Learning, NLP, and Machine Vision. He owned the technological vision, strategic execution, and hands-on implementation across the business, focusing on automating tedious tasks, driving process intelligence, and enhancing user experience through AI to deliver impactful solutions for clients.

Prior to his current roles, Dr. Kazi served as the VP of Research and Development at Parity Computing, an AI company focusing on analytics challenges in science, technology, and medicine (STM). At Parity, Dr. Kazi pioneered patented technology for normalizing disparate data sources to automatically create profiles of people and organizations as seen in the ACM Digitial Library, IEEE XPlore and Reed-Elsevier's SciVerse SCOPUS.

Dr. Kazi has also served as the Director of Technology Strategy and Product Management at Liaison Technology, a content integration solutions company. During his time at Liaison, he directed product management for the entire Liaison product suite and implemented major product enhancements using advanced NLP and IR techniques.

Before joining Parity and Liaison, Dr. Kazi worked as a Research Staff Member at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center at IBM, where he played a major role in the development of IBM's text-analytic frameworks and applications.

Dr. Kazi has also spent time in academia, teaching Computer Science at the University of Delaware, Villanova University, and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He holds an MS and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware and a BS in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has authored numerous technical publications and patents.
